Sandipan Mukherjee has been a free-lance writer for many national and international publications of repute for over two decades.
His photographs have featured in several international publications and won awards and recognition from numerous esteemed organizations and events in India and abroad like Better Photography, Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy, Epson Fotoflock, Asian Development Bank, People and Planet (Australia), TNT Magazine (UK), Pessaic International (France), Snowden International (Australia), FKL (Slovenia), APA (Georgia), IAO (Greece), SPIE (USA), Water Integrity Network (Germany), IMS/Bruckmann (Germany) and the Sony World Photography Awards (UK). As the winner of the coveted Wanderlust Travel Photo of the Year 2013 Contest organized by the Wanderlust Magazine, UK, Mukherjee earned a Photo Commission to Jordan.
Sandipan has five Solo Photography Exhibitions to his credit, held in prestigious venues across India, including the recently-concluded 10-day-long 'From Leh to the Bay' at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
Sandipan is the author of two critically acclaimed books - 'On Broken Trails' and 'Gangasagar - Salvation by Water'.
Sandipan has conducted workshops and served as Visiting Faculty at numerous prestigious institutes like Techno Main (Salt Lake), Techno International (New Town), Adamas University, Neotia University, Indian Institute of Photography and Window Photography School. He has served jury duties at several international photography contests conducted by organizations like Nest and Trails, Shutter Speed, Beyond Vision, Techno Main and World Photographic Forum.
